When does a website need recovery?

If you notice any of these signs, the website may have been hacked or damaged.

Better to check than take a risk

Website not working

Errors appear, the page is blank or the site will not open at all.

Google warning

Google or your browser warns that the website may be unsafe.

Spam pages in the index

Unwanted or foreign-language pages appear in Google results.

Unknown redirects

Visitors are sent to other, unfamiliar websites.

Unknown users

Unfamiliar users or administrators have appeared in the admin area.

Suspicious files

Files or changes you did not create appear on your hosting.

.htaccess or sitemap spam

Infected system files can generate thousands of unwanted URLs and redirects, disrupting Google indexing.

The website is very slow

After an attack, the site has become much slower or unstable.

What do we do?

We perform a full inspection, cleanup and recovery to make your website stable and safer again.

Discuss recovery
  1. 01

    Diagnosis

We investigate the infection type, extent and likely cause.

  2. 02

    Code removal

We remove malicious and spam code, hidden access points and unwanted scripts.

  3. 03

    Recovery

We restore website operation, available content and important features.

  4. 04

    Security hardening

We update the system, review access and implement protective measures.

  5. 05

    Ongoing support

We provide advice and help to reduce the risk of another attack.

We restore what can be recovered

A good backup can help return the site to its pre-attack state. We first check its date, whether it contains an infection and when the attack may have begun.

We restore available files, images, databases and user accounts. Where needed, we repair WordPress, plugins, themes and site settings, including DNS and SSL if affected by the attack.

Restoring a backup alone is not enough.

We also address the identified vulnerability. Data recovery depends on preserved information and available backups.

If Google shows unrelated or spam pages

An attack can modify .htaccess, create unwanted redirects and sitemaps containing thousands of spam addresses. These pages may remain in Google results even after cleanup.

  • We remove the cause of unwanted pages and redirects.
  • We fix .htaccess, robots.txt and the sitemap; we remove unwanted URLs.
  • We check which pages Google may show and which address is authoritative — noindex and canonical signals.
  • We check Search Console and resubmit the corrected sitemap.

We help resolve the technical cause and correct indexing signals, but we cannot control how quickly Google recrawls and indexes the site.

Frequently asked questions

Answers to key questions about website recovery.

How quickly can a website be restored after an attack?

Timing depends on the attack's extent and available access. In simple cases work can begin immediately, while complex infections and data recovery take longer. After the initial check, we agree on scope and timing.

Can you help with an .htaccess infection and spam URLs?

Yes. We find the cause of unwanted addresses and redirects and check .htaccess, robots.txt, sitemaps and site settings. We remove identified malicious code and fix related indexing issues.

Can Google indexing be restored after cleanup?

We help resolve the technical cause, remove malicious content and correct sitemap and Search Console signals. We cannot control Google's recrawl and indexing speed, so we do not guarantee a specific timeframe.

Do you need hosting or cPanel access?

Access to hosting, files, the database and website administration is usually needed. Search Console access may also be required. We clarify requirements first; do not send passwords through the public enquiry form.

How much does it cost?

We prepare a custom quote. Costs depend on the attack's extent, website condition, available backups and required recovery work.

Can you recover lost content?

We assess what can technically be recovered from surviving files, the database and backups. Options depend on the damage and available data; recovering everything is not always possible.

Does a backup always solve the problem?

A backup can be very helpful, but we first check its date and whether it contains the same infection. The original vulnerability must be fixed after recovery, or the site may be hacked again.

Can you restore a WooCommerce store?

Yes. We assess store files, the database, plugins and backups. We agree on a recovery plan considering products, orders, customer accounts and payment features.

Will customer and order data be preserved?

Before making changes, we preserve the available state and assess data recovery options. Restoring an older backup may affect recent orders, so we first compare the available data and agree on an approach. Full preservation depends on damage and backup availability.

What should I do after website recovery?

Keep the system and plugins updated, use strong passwords and two-factor authentication, limit unnecessary access and check backups. We can help with ongoing website maintenance.
